Samantha Miller was born and raised in Pennsylvania and visited her first construction site at eleven years old. She earned her Bachelor’s of Architecture degree at Penn State University in 2004 with a minor in Architectural History. After brief stints on a framing crew and in a hand drafting studio, she spent ten years with the largest design firm in Sacramento. There she assisted all sizes of school renovation and improvement projects through all phases of project delivery, from master planning to construction administration, with a focus on sustainable design and green building accreditations. Samantha became a licensed architect in 2018 and returned to working on residential projects for home builders and homeowners before joining Ellis Architects. When she’s not figuring out how to renovate a vintage home for a modern family, Samantha can be found in her vegetable garden, leading one of her sons’ Cub Scout meetings, or spending time with her family in one of the many state and national parks that also call California home.
