Fulfilling a need for senior independent living in the Eskaton Placerville community, the seven multi-unit

single-story buildings were designed so each residential unit resembles a cottage style home, with sizable front porches, each one being unique from its neighbors. The 38 units are focused around common green space, connected by a large winding path, and a central community building. There are studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units with small kitchenettes, walk-in showers, and laundry equipment that meet Livable Design criteria for aging-in-place.
