Located in the Del Paso Nuevo community in North Sacramento, this project goal was to develop affordable home designs for 92 previously entitled lots. There are five home designs with two exterior finish palettes that create streetscape variation, and each home has a generously sized and usable front porch to help activate the front yard and provide a sense of community. The designs are based on a classic craftsman cottage style with contemporary materials. Abundant windows allow for maximizing natural light and each home has

roof-mounted solar panels. The two-story homes have either three or four bedrooms, and a two-car garage ranging in size between 1,571 and 2,184 square feet, while one plan type allows for a bonus space or secondary dwelling unit above the garage.
