Perched along the edge of the Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park, this small coastal home was reimagined to fully embrace panoramic views of the park and Pacific Ocean. Conventional openings were replaced with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows, dissolving the boundary between indoors and the surrounding landscape.​

All three bedrooms were relocated to capture direct ocean views, ensuring each space engages the coastline. A new entrance celebrates the home’s distinctive roofline and clerestory, transforming what was once a quirky feature into a confident architectural gesture that frames light from above. An ipe hardwood deck extends the living areas outward, reinforcing the connection between house, park, and sea. The result is a refined modern coastal retreat—modest in scale, yet expansive in experience.
