SACRAMENTO 2015
RESTAURANT RENOVATION – PARAGARY’S
Client: Paragary’s Hospitality Group
Architecture & Interiors: Ellis Architects

This project involved a full update to Paragary’s in Midtown, a 30-year old iconic restaurant in Sacramento. The existing courtyard was previously barely noticeable from the interior, so a primary design goal was to open the structural framing and reconfigure the floor plan to provide a seamless connection to the courtyard. The exterior street façade was completely renovated which included enlarging windows, incorporating stripped wood from the original 100-year old building as an accent material, and differentiating the restaurant from the other uses in the building. Ellis Architects also provided full interior design services which was driven by a cohesive and timeless aesthetic between the exterior and interior finishes. The project won the Best Real Estate Project by the Sacramento Business Journal in 2015.
