WONDERFUL UNION – ADAPTIVE REUSE

Clients: Wonderful Union and Ravel Rasmussen Properties
Contractor: West Fork Construction
Completion: 2018

Originally a single-story building built in the 1960’s as a lens manufacturing facility, this project included a completely new façade and a full renovation of the interior space for the headquarters of Wonderful Union – a VIP music events company. Ellis Architects worked with the tenant to develop a full-scope of interior design services, including procurement of furniture. The interior design concept was to evoke the feeling of a recording studio. The two larger areas – the open office and merchandise warehouse – are defined by a solid box in between them that houses smaller offices, break-out rooms, and phone booths. The breakroom contains a living wall that merges inside and outside. The new exterior façade opens up to the street with a small covered patio and metal screen for shade that defines the entry.
